How many volts do i need to power 5 servos? I am currently using a batty pack that holds 4 AAs and the none of the servos move. I am pretty sure its because im not using enough voltage. One servo movedperfectly with that one battery pack, but when i hooked up 5 none of the servos moved. DO i need a nine volt battery insteadm or more?

Hi mclemens7.

The servos are connected in parallell, so you need the same voltage, i.e 4.8 - 6V.

The important thing is how many Amperes the batteries can deliver.

I run the hand with 5 servos with the same configuration as you have. 4AA batteries in series delivers 4.8-6V depending on what type of battery they are.

Don't use 9V because it will destroy the servos.

The servos don't use much power when that are standing still, so you shold be able to move each servo without any problem. Test  each servo separatley.

When each of them work separatley, you can test to run them at the same time.

Hope this helps.
